I'll remember Cynthia for the many gatherings at her place. She simply loved having people around her. She would plan gatherings and call us; it's Valentine Day; come and spend the day. Most of us had no partners, just Kathleen and Ampie, Cynthia and Mervyn. That didn't bother us, we would chat and laugh and enjoy the day. She also organised more such occasions just to have people there. When it got late she didn't want us to leave. She would also call when she longed to chat; normally late at night. Cynthia had a wonderful memory, if we wanted to know something of some family we could just ask her. In her younger days she kept busy making konfyt, fruit cake, baked bread and pots of food. It was also the gatheing place when Thelma and George visited and in earlier years Josh and Jennifer. Those were some of the memories of her. She was a very special cousin who had a lot of time for us. She was a sweet, gentle, humble person who opened her door and her heart to everyone. I'll miss you always Cynthia, you were a very special cousin.
